Tom Ford is hiring a Public Relations and Influencer Marketing Associate to support PR strategy, influencer programmes, media relations, reporting, press events, product launches, and campaign execution for TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY across North America. The role also manages PR finance operations, agency coordination, budgets, product samples, and creative assets, while partnering with Global and cross-functional teams. Full-time regular position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Identify beauty influencers, tastemakers, celebrity makeup artists, fashion stylists, and industry trendsetters aligned with TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY, selecting candidates according to each campaign’s objectives and creative direction.
  • Participate in planning and drive execution of North American product-seeding mailers, including approval of influencer lists for new product and year-round gifting mailers.
  • Track influencer activity and provide monthly reports for Global and North America, using data-driven analysis and EMV as a key business driver.
  • Develop and execute proactive media pitches and respond to media enquiries to maximize opportunities for TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY.
  • Track media activity and provide monthly reports for Global and North America, using data-driven analysis and MIV as a key business driver; make recommendations based on analytics.
  • Drive ideation, planning, and execution of North American product-launch events and press dinners that generate EMV while aligning with the overall brand aesthetic and story.
  • Partner with Global TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY teams on global destination events and brand tentpole occasions, such as Fashion Week, to create cross-category brand moments and drive EMV and buzz.
  • Own internal PR finance operations, including timely and accurate documentation for ELC Finance, Buying Center, and relevant teams.
  • Manage purchase orders, invoicing, and new-vendor setup autonomously.
  • Manage the product closet and samples, including placing product and collateral orders to ensure timely approval and delivery.
  • Ensure timely receipt and delivery of creative assets for campaigns and product send-outs, including coordinating press-material development with Global and downloading high-resolution images.
  • Serve as the point of contact for PR agencies and respond to press enquiries and issues.
  • Support the Director of Communications & PR in developing and implementing PR strategy and influencer programmes, using trends to support brand growth, relevance, and desirability.
  • Interface with beauty and lifestyle media and support press events and product launches.
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for relevant agencies on campaign execution.
  • Measure, report, and track key performance indicators to monitor progress against strategy and benchmarks.
  • Partner with Global and cross-functional North American teams to align brand priorities, drive creative needs, and deliver 360-degree execution.
  • Provide essential support across team programming and operations.
  • Develop and deliver clear, compelling messages tailored to different communications channels, and communicate effectively and respectfully in challenging situations.
  • Apply digital fluency and consumer-behaviour insights to understand engagement with influencer content across social and digital platforms; monitor emerging digital and social trends, tools, and platforms.
  • Build understanding of brand consumers, market segments, trends, strategies, plans, and priorities, and support the development of long-term strategies.
  • Build collaborative relationships based on trust and respect, work autonomously and effectively with others, foster inclusion, exercise professional judgement to resolve conflicts, and promote a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • College degree.
  • 3–4 years of experience in beauty public relations, influencer marketing, social media, and/or PR or influencer agency work.
  • Experience and expertise building influencer relationships for brands.
  • Experience and success pitching long-lead and short-lead media, with existing editorial contacts in beauty and beyond.
  • Knowledge of influencer and social trend landscapes, with a passion for pop culture and beauty.
  • Strong understanding of content creation, social trends, performance drivers, and influencer-brief development.
  • Proficiency across established and emerging social platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram.
  • Proficiency with influencer management and reporting tools, including Launch Metrics, Lefty, and Tribe Dynamics.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to set priorities independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead cross-functionally and build internal and external relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity, and strategic vision.
  • Budget-management experience.
