Tod's seeks a Plant Manager for its footwear production sites in Comunanza and Arquata, Italy, responsible for plant performance, production and maintenance, workforce leadership, subcontractor planning, investment projects and stakeholder relations. The role offers a gross annual salary of €65,000–€75,000, plus a canteen, welfare benefits and health insurance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Achieve productivity, efficiency and performance objectives for the assigned scope, meeting company standards for cost, timing, quality, safety and environmental impact through production, maintenance and HSE plans and established procedures.
- Lead and coordinate direct and indirect production staff, supporting professional development and promoting engagement, accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate production planning in-house and across the assigned subcontractor network, aligning inventory objectives, production capacity constraints and commercial requirements while meeting company and brand quality standards.
- Contribute to defining the plant investment budget and industrial projects, supporting their planning and monitoring.
- Ensure the reliability, efficiency and safety of production facilities and equipment by planning, coordinating and monitoring maintenance in close collaboration with the Industrial Technical Office.
- Coordinate continuously with Footwear Operations functions, including Industrialization, Purchasing, Production Planning, Quality and Safety, aligning teams and improving operational, production and quality performance.
- Maintain constructive dialogue with all stakeholders, including trade unions and relevant external bodies, in compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or economics.
- At least 10 years of experience in positions of responsibility in structured industrial environments; experience in fashion, luxury or manufacturing with high production complexity is preferred.
- Strong production-planning expertise, preferably gained in structured, multi-site industrial environments with a workforce of approximately 300.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous process improvement and operational performance optimisation.
- Flexibility, proactivity and the ability to adapt quickly to organisational, priority and contextual changes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, stakeholder-management aptitude, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to coordinate teams and interdepartmental working groups and engage with diverse internal and external counterparts.
