Tod's, an Italian luxury footwear and leather goods maison, seeks a Pattern Maker to join its prototyping department. The successful candidate will fabricate prototypes and samples according to technical specifications and design direction, while performing quality control assessments on finished garments. This role demands continuous collaboration with pattern-making, design, and production teams to ensure all outputs meet Tod's rigorous quality standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Fabricate prototypes and samples based on technical specifications and design direction
- Perform comprehensive quality verification of garments, including seam integrity, fit, finishing, and material conformity
- Collaborate with the pattern-making department to optimize garments and resolve production issues
- Identify and report defects or non-conformities against established quality standards
- Participate actively in defect rectification and continuous product improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years' prior experience in equivalent roles within fashion or apparel manufacturing
- Expert knowledge of industrial and bespoke sewing techniques
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and execute technical specifications
- Demonstrated precision, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to quality standards
- Strong interpersonal capabilities and collaborative mindset for team-based production environments
- Familiarity with primary garment production equipment and machinery (preferred)
- Prior experience within structured organisations or mid-to-premium tier fashion houses (preferred)
