TOD'S seeks a Pattern Maker Prototype Technician to join its prototyping department in Sant'Elpidio a Mare. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating prototypes and samples according to technical specifications and design direction, performing quality control assessments on garments, and collaborating closely with the pattern-making, design, and production departments to ensure all products meet the house's rigorous quality standards. This is a permanent full-time position offered under the Italian footwear industry collective labour agreement (CCNL Calzature Industria), with placement intended for stabilization at Level IV.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create prototypes and samples according to technical specifications and stylistic direction
- Verify garment quality in terms of stitching, fit, finishing, and material properties
- Collaborate with the pattern-making department to optimize garments and resolve technical issues
- Identify and report defects or non-conformities against quality standards
- Actively participate in defect correction phases and product improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of prior experience in similar roles within fashion or apparel manufacturing
- Expert knowledge of industrial and bespoke sewing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical specification sheets
- Exceptional attention to detail with quality-focused mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work ethic
- Preferred: familiarity with primary garment production machinery and tools
- Preferred: background in structured environments or mid-to-premium fashion sector companies
