Tod's, a distinguished Italian footwear luxury house rooted in artisanal excellence, seeks an experienced Hemming Specialist for its production facility in Comunanza. The successful candidate will manage all phases of the hemming and upper assembly process, demonstrating proficiency with industrial sewing machinery, including column-type machines, and executing precision hand and machine finishing techniques across all upper components.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply canvas reinforcement to shoe uppers with precision
- Execute edge folding and beating operations both manually and using specialized machinery
- Bond uppers and linings through controlled adhesive application
- Perform upper stitching using industrial sewing equipment
- Apply structural reinforcements to predetermined areas of the upper
- Complete lining stitching to finished specifications
- Maintain consistent quality standards and attention to detail throughout all production phases
- Share expertise and provide mentorship to junior production team members
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in footwear upper hemming and assembly
- Proficiency with industrial sewing machinery, particularly column-type machines
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
