TOD'S, an Italian luxury leather goods manufacturer renowned for artisanal excellence and timeless design, seeks a Cutting Specialist to join its Prototype Development department in Sant'Elpidio a Mare. The successful candidate will perform manual and automated cutting of leather and linings for prototype and sample development, ensuring conformity to rigorous quality standards and precision specifications whilst collaborating closely with pattern-making, design, and production teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute manual cutting of leather and linings according to technical specifications and design requirements
- Inspect material quality and identify defects prior to processing
- Optimize pattern placement to maximize leather utilization and minimize waste
- Support prototype and sample development initiatives in collaboration with design, pattern-making, and production departments
- Operate automated cutting machinery as required, maintaining strict adherence to company quality standards
- Maintain orderliness, precision documentation, and full traceability of all cutting operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in manual leather and lining cutting
- Proficiency in the operation of automated cutting machinery
- Ability to work flexible schedules including shift-based and standard daily hours
