Tool Maker position at Tiffany & Co. in Cumberland, United States. Design and fabricate precision tooling for luxury jewelry manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate tooling ranging from simple to complex specifications, including progressive tools, molds, and drill fixtures
- Fabricate samples to support new product development initiatives
- Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC milling machines
- Read, interpret, and communicate technical specifications and blueprints effectively
- Collaborate with Management and tool room staff to arrive at sound technical decisions
- Partner with the Toolroom Manager to ensure daily production capabilities and efficiency standards are maintained
- Participate in 5S activities and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Identify and propose continuous improvement opportunities to minimize labor costs and reduce manufacturing waste
- Report all incidents and safety issues promptly to management
- Build partnerships within and across departments to foster efficiency and a supportive work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of toolmaking or toolroom experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical proficiency in tooling and toolroom processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings
- Demonstrated ability to read and write English at an intermediate level or higher
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to train, motivate, and provide direction to colleagues
- CAD/CAM experience
- Preferred: Rhino, Solidworks, or Mastercam proficiency
- Preferred: Wire EDM experience
- Preferred: Some college or bachelor's degree
- Preferred: Bilingual capability in Spanish

Experience
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in toolmaking, toolroom operations, or related precision manufacturing environments. Proven competency in reading and interpreting technical prints, operating both manual and CNC milling equipment, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.
Education
High school diploma or GED required. Some college or bachelor's degree is preferred.
