Role & Responsibilities
- Lead supplier selection activities, including Make vs. Buy analyses, leveraging supplier capability assessments and performance history.
- Manage RFP processes for assigned categories, analyse bids, and provide actionable recommendations to optimise the supply base.
- Partner with New Product Integration and divisional stakeholders to negotiate and manage new-product costs throughout development cycles.
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, conduct market and category risk analyses, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Track and report category benefits and key performance metrics (e.g., savings goals, cost avoidance), and present findings to management.
- Plan and execute sourcing projects for smaller spend sub-categories, securing required cross-functional engagement and maintaining project timelines.
- Support corporate social responsibility initiatives and ensure effective supplier compliance and risk management.
- Coach and influence internal stakeholders to build collaborative supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant procurement/sourcing experience, including 1–2 years of project management experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel capabilities (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerBI for data visualisation and dashboard creation.
- Proven analytical and statistical aptitude with the ability to identify trends, anomalies and supply‑chain risks within large datasets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex topics concisely.
- Exceptional organisational skills, meticulous attention to data accuracy, and the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functions.
- Preferred: Master's degree; industry knowledge in jewelry manufacturing, precious metals, diamonds/gemstones; proficiency in a second language relevant to the global supply chain; professional certifications such as ISM – CPM/CPSM or APICS.
