Tiffany & Co. seeks Senior Operations Associate for Color Stones & Pearls Logistics in New York. Manage inbound/outbound gemstone shipments and inventory. $25.25–$29.70/hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage timely receipt and verification of all incoming merchandise, supplies, and equipment; verify contents and break down packaging for distribution to appropriate departments and cross-functional teams
- Prepare and execute outbound shipments of merchandise and supplies; verify all shipping documentation complies with courier, international customs, and company policies
- Monitor in-transit reports and coordinate with business partners to process aging receipts; escalate issues to management as necessary
- Conduct monthly audits of all outbound shipments from carriers; identify and investigate discrepancies including lost, delayed, and misdelivered shipments
- Maintain and manage inventory of shipping supplies; coordinate order placement through Coupa as needed
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing paperwork complies with required statements including Kimberley Statement, Synthetic Statement, Warranty Statement, and VAT Tax requirements
- Maintain accurate inbound and outbound log sheets in accordance with audit requirements and established procedures
- Perform systematic receipt of gemstones and pearls using J.D. Edwards system; complete systematic transfer of ownership and process merchandise returns
- Prepare shipments to Merchandise Testing Laboratory (MTL) in compliance with company policy; maintain proper documentation and test results
- Support grading lab processing for qualifying stones using Sarine technology; maintain accuracy and integrity of data uploads into J.D. Edwards
- Lead training sessions with team members; support process improvement initiatives and continuous enhancement
- Adhere to all workplace policies, safety measures, and guidelines; handle sensitive and proprietary information with strict confidentiality
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation and related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to translate goals into clear, actionable work plans
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with willingness to work overtime as needed
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with strict adherence to confidentiality, security, and safety policies
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt responsibilities within the department
Skills
Experience
2-5 years of professional experience in operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain management. Experience in gemstone or jewelry industry operations is advantageous.
Education
Undergraduate college degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
