Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on process and building equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment systems, and production machinery
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of CNC machines, addressing complex electrical and mechanical issues involving motors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, and precision alignment
  • Assist the Maintenance Foreman with work order assignments, parts inventory management, and vendor coordination for service support and supplies
  • Complete and coordinate project/fabrication work, including procurement of necessary parts and timely communication with requestors
  • Implement and maintain the Preventative Maintenance Program, including routine testing and inspection of electrical components in emergency and life safety systems to meet FM, NFPA, and OSHA standards
  • Train technicians on production equipment, building systems, and processes; propose and document continuous improvement opportunities
  • Respond to building-related emergency calls and support outside contractors on scheduled facility projects
  • Maintain a safe working environment by consistently following all safety procedures and promptly reporting incidents to management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or related engineering field
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Advanced plumbing and pipefitting expertise
  • Advanced carpentry and fabrication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
  • Competency with power tools and standard craft equipment
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with building management systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly
  • Flexibility to work off-shift hours, weekends, and respond to after-hours emergencies

Experience

Experience with preventative maintenance program development and implementation is highly valued. Leadership experience and the ability to train other technicians on complex systems is preferred.

Education

Technical degree in mechanical engineering, facilities management, or related discipline is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with extensive hands-on experience equivalent to formal technical training will be considered.
