Tiffany & Co. seeks a Senior Lease Accountant in Whippany, NJ to lead IFRS16 lease accounting for North America and provide global lease oversight.

Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day lease accounting for North America (US and Canada), ensuring full compliance with IFRS16 and LVMH Group accounting policies.
- Maintain and populate the Leasa lease accounting system; ensure accurate journal entries, reconciliations and data integrity across lease accounts.
- Calculate and manage monthly percentage rent accruals for US and Canadian retail locations and coordinate with Lease Administration on sales letters and payments.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities for lease balances; analyze Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuations and produce commentary for management reviews.
- Prepare consolidated Balance Sheet slides, review lease cash flows and ensure correct postings into SyRUS during hard closes.
- Provide global oversight for international lease accounting: review international lease contracts, validate entries, and act as primary contact for international Finance teams.
- Design and deliver Tiffany-specific IFRS16 training and standard operating procedures to international finance stakeholders to enforce consistent application of policies.
- Support external audits by preparing required audit schedules and responding to lease-related inquiries and testing.
- Own submission of taxonomy reporting to the LVMH Group and participate in cross-functional projects to improve lease accounting processes.
- Identify and propose automation and continuous improvement opportunities to reduce manual calculation effort and standardize global workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 4 years of public and/or private accounting or related experience with demonstrated lease accounting exposure.
- Practical experience applying IFRS16 lease accounting guidance.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong computer literacy.
- Excellent oral, written and analytical skills with strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during monthly, quarterly and year-end closings and for special assignments.

Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in public and/or private practice with specific exposure to lease accounting; Big 4 experience is preferred.

Compensation
