Tiffany & Co. seeks a Senior Analyst, Category Management in New York to drive high jewelry category strategies, pricing, and assortment optimization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Research sales trends, price points, classification performance, and competitive activity to inform product decisions and shape category recommendations
- Develop and maintain product architectures and plans, ensuring accuracy and alignment to cost and margin objectives
- Support the execution of new product introductions and existing category strategies
- Prepare and present recommendations on new product plans, launch readiness, and category priorities to senior stakeholders
- Analyze competitive pricing, sales trends, and margin targets to support the formal price change process for new and existing products
- Collaborate with management to develop and validate pricing scenarios, ensuring optimal profitability while maintaining market competitiveness
- Oversee recurring and ad hoc reporting of pricing and gross margin performance, identifying risks and opportunities to improve category results
- Assess current pricing tools and processes to identify and propose solutions for improved efficiency and accuracy
- Execute lifecycle activities, including product discontinuations, obsolescence planning, and overstock mitigation strategies
- Maintain the accuracy of item data, SKU setup, and architecture updates to support product launches
- Conduct assortment, trend, and competitive analysis with clear recommendations for optimizing the current product range
- Partner closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Marketing, PR, Visual Merchandising, and regional teams to inform and execute category strategies
- Drive clear and consistent communication of category updates, pricing actions, and lifecycle decisions across internal stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members or coordinators on key initiatives and product insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Category Management, Merchandising, Retail, or a related role
- Strong ability to analyze sales, pricing, assortment, and competitive trends
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and adhere to project timelines
- Demonstrated strength in cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of product, assortment planning, and category management processes within a retail or luxury environment

Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in Category Management, Merchandising, Retail, or a related role, preferably within a luxury environment. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of analyzing product performance, managing assortment decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive category optimization.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
