Tiffany & Co. is hiring a Senior Analyst for Category Management in New York to oversee Elsa Peretti jewelry and home collections globally.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed assortment analysis by collection, classification, and price point; develop proposals for improvements to maximize sales and productivity in partnership with the GAP team
- Execute formal pricing analysis and establish retail pricing for new and existing product lines, balancing margin targets with sales goals through margin reviews and price change recommendations
- Create and maintain product development plans and initiative grids throughout various development stages, facilitating cross-functional reviews among design, merchandising, and regional teams
- Refresh and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboard reports to senior management and cross-functional partners; resolve off-cycle pricing errors and discrepancies
- Conduct assortment lifecycle reviews, including T-Flag, E-Flag, and obsolescence management, in partnership with divisional and inventory teams
- Coordinate with marketing, brand, and regional teams to manage campaign requests, merchandise borrows, press releases, and product communications for client advisors and store staff
- Support special projects including estate reporting, pop-up store initiatives, new store openings, and ad hoc senior management presentations as needed
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
- Minimum three years of professional experience in retail business operations or category management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) with demonstrated ability to adapt to new software platforms
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with proven ability to develop and implement goal-oriented initiatives
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt quickly to shifting business needs
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills with proven ability to negotiate with sales professionals and external vendors
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of retail experience, preferably including store line operations and exposure to category management or merchandising functions. Demonstrated expertise in analyzing product assortments, pricing structures, and sales trends required.
Education
Undergraduate degree from an accredited university. Graduate Gemologist certificate or near-completion preferred; prior knowledge of Tiffany & Co. product offerings and familiarity with gross margin and inventory turn calculations advantageous.
