Tiffany & Co. seeks Project Manager, Store Planning and Construction in New York to lead retail store development projects from conception through opening.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of retail and trade projects from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Build comprehensive project briefs, programs, schedules, and budgets aligned with the Store Development Lifecycle and key milestones
- Manage stakeholder alignment with Store Design, Regional and Market leadership on project milestones and overall schedules
- Review and negotiate work letters with landlords and conduct initial site reviews
- Advise on market conditions affecting project schedule and budget
- Manage approved schedules to achieve critical milestones, adjusting as needed throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Store Design, Procurement, IT, Security, Merchandising, Operations) and external consultants (architects, engineers) and general contractors
- Coordinate and manage drawing sets from schematic and design development through construction documents
- Utilize TCO systems (Unifier, Coupa, PlanGrid, Microsoft Project) for drawing, budget, and PO submissions and management
- Establish competitive bidding, contract administration, and project-related legal and financial controls
- Attend and manage monthly cost meetings to ensure budget compliance, forecast accuracy, PO issuance, contingency management, and cash flow
- Conduct weekly OAC (Owner's Authorized Consultant) meetings and ensure documentation
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure OFI (Owner-Furnished Items) goods are on schedule
- Manage and report on change orders and overall budget management
- Ensure quality standards are met and handover stores defect-free to the retail team
- Close out projects within 90 days after store opening
- Coordinate store handover with all stakeholders for seamless transition from store planning to Retail
- Travel to conduct site visits during the project lifecycle
- Conduct post-opening project audits and identify areas for improvement
- Support Store Design and Procurement with research and development programs
- Identify regional and local resources, materials, and suppliers for cost and schedule efficiencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Construction Project Management
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in store planning, design, or construction environments involving aggressive retail expansion
- Demonstrated experience in the luxury retail market
- Experience collaborating with vendors and consultants in the North American market
- Effective communication and managerial skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time
