Project Lead - High Jewelry Product Development at Tiffany & Co. in Pelham, USA. Manage new product development lifecycle from design through production launch.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support New Product Integration processes for major launches and event items through their complete development lifecycle, including intake of Critical Requirements, Tooling reviews, and Production Launch
- Communicate critical project information to key stakeholders including Product Development, Internal Manufacturing, and external vendors as needed
- Manage project timelines and organize resource requirements in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensure all critical requirements are met for new products and provide detailed cost estimates with clearly stated assumptions
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with Design, Product Development, and cross-functional departments to oversee projects from concept through final delivery
- Represent assigned projects at Product Development cross-functional meetings and serve as primary contact for external component development
- Facilitate all development process meetings and provide comprehensive meeting summaries and project updates throughout the lifecycle
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOM), manufacturing routes, work instructions, and cost models; review CAD models and technical drawings
- Ensure consistent format, accurate maintenance, and timely storage of all product-related project documentation, plans, and Critical Requirements
- Oversee development and maintenance of integrated component library (CAD and physical models) for High Jewelry projects incorporating historical and current project data
- Manage system entry and verification of all project-related data including critical product requirements, BOMs, routes, costs, work instructions, and project plans
- Track project timelines, on-time delivery of samples, accuracy of costing, and quality yields for all sample stages
- Control inventory assets including precious metals and stones within areas of responsibility in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Generate, maintain, track, close, and report on all project work orders
- Support department metrics definition, data collection, and reporting; provide information for departmental presentations
- Work safely at all times following all safe work procedures and promptly report incidents and safety issues to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing technology, process engineering, automation, or related field
- Demonstrated experience working in a high-quality, highly customized, precision manufacturing environment
- Proven experience implementing and managing manufacturing technologies and systems
- Strong project and program management experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting New Product Development
- Strong process improvement and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with automation, equipment integration, and advanced manufacturing technologies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities

Experience
7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing technology, process engineering, automation, or a related field. Demonstrated background in high-quality, highly customized, precision manufacturing environments with strong expertise in implementing and managing manufacturing technologies and systems. Proven track record supporting New Product Development initiatives with strong project and program management experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education.
