Role & Responsibilities

• Perform refinishing, repairs and alterations on rings, chains, charms, earrings, bracelets and other customer‑owned or new merchandise to Tiffany & Co. standards.
• Execute standard and specialty polishing techniques — gluing, sanding, sandblasting, lapping, hand polishing, plating and related processes — with meticulous finish quality.
• Inspect assigned orders for additional defects; document, repair or escalate issues and ensure work complies with written repair instructions and design specifications.
• Meet or exceed established productivity targets while maintaining uncompromising quality and adherence to due dates.
• Maintain an organised, secure bench and workflow; request parts, consumables and tools following established procedures and manage assigned metals/scrap appropriately.
• Develop product knowledge of designers, collections, materials and repair methodologies; proactively acquire and share new skills to improve quality, safety or efficiency.
• Provide cross‑support across the service centre, assist administration with workflow management and participate in special projects as required.
• Comply with occupational health and safety protocols, including PPE, hazardous material handling, machine guarding and ergonomic practices; report incidents and maintain safe work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of professional jewellery polishing/bench experience; 5–10 years preferred for senior assignments.
• Proven experience with all metal types and refinishing techniques, including sandblasting, sanding, lapping and specialty ring polishing methods.
• Demonstrable gemstone and non‑precious stone identification skills and knowledge of appropriate care procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational ability and capacity to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Client service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across levels of management and cross‑functional teams.
• Flexible availability and willingness to work overtime when required; ability to work autonomously and take initiative.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical qualification in jewellery making or design preferred.
