Payroll Administrator at Tiffany & Co. in Whippany, NJ: manage weekly payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee records.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls, commissions, and off-cycle payments with accuracy and timeliness
- Administer disability files, leave requests, garnishments, wage verifications, and employment verification letters
- Collaborate with Kronos team to integrate and validate timesheets for payroll accuracy
- Execute HDL file loads and validate data prior to payroll processing
- Transmit and verify direct deposits, resolving discrepancies and communicating with employees as required
- Process 401K contributions and payroll wire transfers
- Conduct analytical review of payroll data to ensure precision and compliance
- Respond to employee self-service inquiries regarding W4 setup, direct deposit configuration, and other HR-related questions
- Research and resolve payroll-related inquiries from department managers and employees
- Maintain payroll department email systems and manage payroll help desk tickets
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience
- Proficiency in Oracle HCM Payroll systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical capability to identify and resolve system discrepancies
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on payroll administration experience, preferably in a multi-entity or multinational environment; familiarity with Canada payroll processing and ADP WorkForceNow systems is advantageous.
Education
Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field preferred; equivalent payroll processing certification or demonstrated expertise may substitute.
