Tiffany & Co. seeks a Merchandising Manager in Sydney to lead assortment, VM and forecasting for Australia & New Zealand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the local merchandising strategy for Australia & New Zealand in alignment with global directives and a ‘retail first’ mentality.
  • Lead SKU‑level assortment planning and forecasting, producing sales forecasts and assortment recommendations for stores and eCommerce.
  • Conduct category and collection performance analysis to identify growth opportunities, optimize inventory and inform buying and allocation decisions.
  • Manage the ANZ Visual Merchandising team and coordinate CVM activations, collection placement and floor plan moves to maximise sales productivity.
  • Partner closely with Retail, CVM, Client Relations, High Jewellery, Communications and Finance to deliver integrated 360° initiatives and events.
  • Support new store openings and relocations through assortment reviews, display implementation and cross‑functional coordination with Supply Chain and VM.
  • Prepare and present business reviews, weekly/monthly reporting on targets, sell‑through and best sellers; escalate risks and opportunities to Zone leadership.
  • Drive competitive market visits, gather consumer and market insights, and act as the advocate for store‑level needs across the zone.
  • Recruit, coach and develop merchandising and VM team members, set performance objectives and cultivate a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in retail merchandising or assortment planning, with proven people leadership in a luxury retail environment.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen with strong experience in category analysis, SKU forecasting and assortment optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, matrixed organisation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting and forecasting.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years' experience in merchandising or retail planning, including leadership of a merchandising and/or visual merchandising team within a luxury retail or jewellery environment; experience working with cross‑functional partners and delivering store‑level commercial outcomes is essential.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
