Tiffany & Co. seeks a Manager – Tax Reporting in Whippany, NJ to lead global income tax accounting and reporting under IAS 12.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly and annual global tax provision in accordance with IAS 12, coordinating the preparation and review of current and deferred tax calculations for domestic and international entities
- Ensure accuracy of accounting for and reporting of global income taxes, partnering with tax team members, business unit finance professionals, and third-party service providers to maintain effective tax rate analysis, tax account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Maintain documentation supporting active global tax audits, uncertain tax positions, and IAS 12/IAS 37 reserves
- Identify, research, and document the company's position regarding tax accounting consequences of new accounting pronouncements, changes in tax law, and business transactions to ensure proper application of guidance
- Manage and execute the income tax forecasting process, partnering with tax department members and financial planning to develop estimated effective tax rates and global cash tax projections
- Manage the income tax software suite of products supporting tax accounting, collaborating with IT, the Controller's organization, and FP&A on system design to ensure tax requirements are properly documented and integrated
- Lead process improvement efforts to enhance tax department productivity and efficiency
- Provide training, coaching, and professional development for tax accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience in income tax accounting, with at least 2 years in Big Four or large multinational corporations
- Strong tax technical and research skills in federal and international tax
- Expertise in tax accounting principles including ASC 740, FIN 18, IAS 12, and FIN 48
- Proficiency in Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision
- Advanced Excel skills
- Managerial experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with proven ability to manage complex tasks
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in income tax accounting, with at least 2 years in Big Four professional services firms or large multinational corporations. Experience should encompass income tax provision management, current and deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and leadership of accounting functions within a regulated or complex tax environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Master's degree in Taxation is preferred. CPA and/or other relevant industry certifications and affiliations are valued.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 134,000 to USD 170,000 per annum.
