Tiffany & Co. is hiring a Manager, Inventory Planning in New York to oversee global inventory operations for a $750M product category.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan target inventory levels at global and zonal levels based on sales forecasts and inventory productivity objectives
- Place manufacturing orders with the supply team and manage receipt timing and on-time delivery performance
- Project inventory landings across a 24-month rolling horizon at the global level
- Plan, present, and justify open-to-buy targets for purchase plans
- Collaborate with regional Supply Chain Teams on zonal inventory and safety stock targets aligned with sales forecasts
- Deliver daily inventory allocations to zones based on sell-through and safety stock performance
- Analyze new product sell-through, availability, and inventory turn, adjusting allocation strategies for unexpected market trends
- Review zone bottoms-up inventory plans to ensure policy compliance and turn targets are met; consolidate findings into global purchase strategy
- Partner with distribution and logistics teams centrally and regionally to optimize lead times and manage multi-nodal shipping structures
- Create and analyze advanced reporting in Power BI to draw actionable business conclusions
- Participate as a subject matter expert in workshops for new business processes and Anaplan system integration
- Articulate business goals and process requirements while maintaining objectivity to re-engineer workflow and operations
- Lead and inspire the inventory planning team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Manage recruitment efforts and restructure team responsibilities as business needs evolve
- Motivate team members and provide professional development and career advancement opportunities
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of business experience in retail or supply chain operations
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Retail management experience in merchandise planning and/or replenishment planning
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage and function in a dynamic environment while handling multiple concurrent assignments
- Proven ability to provide professional development and foster growth in a highly motivated team
Skills
Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of business experience, with substantial background in retail management, merchandise planning, and/or inventory replenishment operations within a multi-product, multi-channel environment. Prior experience managing inventory portfolios of significant scale and complexity is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
