Tiffany & Co. seeks a temporary Laboratory Technician in NJ for a 6-month contract role supporting merchandise testing and sample analysis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory functions including weighing and gravimetric or instrumental analysis of precious metal samples
  • Conduct non-destructive analysis using X-Ray Fluorescence and Polarimeter stress testing of crystals
  • Prepare samples for food contact and performance testing while documenting all results
  • Organize and file laboratory data and documentation; assist with data entry in Microsoft Access databases and issue reports
  • Manage shipping, receiving, and repacking of test samples to and from the Merchandise Testing Laboratory
  • Conduct routine setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and glassware
  • Participate in all safety training seminars and maintain strict adherence to job safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of analytical laboratory experience
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in analytical work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
