Tiffany & Co. seeks a temporary Laboratory Technician in NJ for a 6-month contract role supporting merchandise testing and sample analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory functions including weighing and gravimetric or instrumental analysis of precious metal samples
- Conduct non-destructive analysis using X-Ray Fluorescence and Polarimeter stress testing of crystals
- Prepare samples for food contact and performance testing while documenting all results
- Organize and file laboratory data and documentation; assist with data entry in Microsoft Access databases and issue reports
- Manage shipping, receiving, and repacking of test samples to and from the Merchandise Testing Laboratory
- Conduct routine setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and glassware
- Participate in all safety training seminars and maintain strict adherence to job safety requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
- Minimum 1 year of analytical laboratory experience
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in analytical work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

1+ years of analytical laboratory experience required; beginner-level role with structured training and mentorship from senior chemists and managers
Education
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or another related scientific discipline
