Tiffany & Co. seeks a Temporary Jewelry Washer in Whippany, NY. Salary $19–$26/hr. GIA knowledge and 1–2 years technical experience required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform efficient washing, cleaning, and steaming of jewelry merchandise assigned to the wash line within the Product Services department, ensuring adherence to departmental standards for timeliness, accuracy, and quality
- Conduct quality assurance inspections on all serviced items and enforce departmental quality standards across all processed merchandise
- Process, wrap safely and securely, all serviced items and accurately track all orders for required reporting
- Provide support to polishers and other wash line staff as necessary to maintain operational efficiency
- Adapt to new responsibilities and flex to all areas of Personalization and Distribution as needed to fulfill business requirements
- Work collaboratively with management and Facilities teams to maintain and operate wash line equipment effectively
- Follow safe work procedures consistently and promptly report all incidents and safety issues to supervisory staff
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a technical work environment
- Knowledge of gemstones and their care, handling, and associated protocols for high-value jewelry
- GIA certification or equivalent relevant experience and knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions with precision
- Capacity to learn new skills quickly and work productively in a fast-paced technical environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a team-oriented setting
- Ability to work effectively under heavy workload situations
Skills
Experience
1–2 years in a technical work environment with hands-on experience in jewelry processing, cleaning, or related product services. Foundational knowledge of gemstone care and high-value merchandise handling is essential.
Education
GIA certification or equivalent professional knowledge in gemology and jewelry care is required or strongly preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19 to USD 26 per hour.
