Tiffany & Co. seeks an experienced Temporary Jewelry Setter in Pelham, NY. Expertise in diamond and gemstone setting techniques required. $35–$46/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set diamonds and colored stones using pave, cutdown, bright cut, fancy prong, bead, channel, and burnishing setting techniques
- Collaborate with Jewelers or CAD Designers on stone placement and layouts for new products, recommending setting techniques and technical solutions for higher-volume production
- Inspect mountings 100% prior to setting and review completed work for quality assurance
- Count and record daily production results, verify work order accuracy, reconcile all stones used, and report discrepancies to management
- Maintain full compliance with company policies regarding safety, confidentiality, security, and attendance
- Execute work safely by following all established safety procedures and promptly reporting incidents and safety issues to supervisors
- Contribute to 5S improvements at the workstation and within the department
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional setting experience across all setting techniques
- Proven ability to evaluate space requirements for pave and beadwork and provide stone layouts in models or castings
- Extensive experience working with precious metals, diamonds, and colored stones
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff at multiple levels
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and partnership skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform setting repairs
- Flexibility to work overtime and modified schedules to support business needs
- Gemological Certification in Diamonds and Colored Gemstones (preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (preferred)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional jewelry setting experience with demonstrated mastery of multiple stone-setting techniques and experience working with high-quality precious metals, diamonds, and colored gemstones in production and artisanal contexts.
Education
Gemological Certification in Diamonds and Colored Gemstones preferred; technical understanding of polishing and jewelry manufacturing techniques required or highly valued.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 35 to USD 46 per hour.
