Tiffany & Co. is hiring a Jewelry Setter II in Cumberland, United States for precious stone setting on fine jewelry. Permanent position requiring 3+ years experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set diamonds and colored precious stones according to Tiffany & Co. quality standards, including even placement on plane for multiple-stone pieces and careful stone handling to prevent damage
- Perform pave, prong setting, and burnishing operations on rings and precious jewelry pieces
- Deliver clean, timely work meeting departmental efficiency targets and production schedules
- Follow all prescribed safety procedures and protocols; consistently wear required safety equipment including safety glasses and protective shields
- Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to the supervisor or manager
- Maintain 5S housekeeping standards throughout the work area
- Perform additional duties as required by management
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated experience in pave, prong setting, and burnishing techniques
- Practical experience working with platinum, 18KT gold, color stones, and fancy-cut shaped stones
- Proficiency with jewelry-related tools including burrs, gravers, burnishers, and associated implements
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute work from technical blueprints
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional precision and accuracy
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving company needs
- Capability to work in high-volume, fast-paced production environments
- Willingness to work overtime and weekend hours as business requirements dictate
- Fluency in English language, both written and spoken
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years in jewelry production, specifically in stone setting techniques (pave, prong setting, and burnishing) with demonstrated expertise in working with platinum, 18KT gold, color stones, and fancy-cut gemstones.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); GIA certification is valued.
