Tiffany & Co. in New York seeks an Inventory Control Operations Lead to manage stone and pearl production operations (hourly, $30–$37/hr).
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production transactions for colored stones and pearls, prioritizing receipts and purchase transactions to meet established SLAs.
- Coordinate with Grading Lab and buying teams (Unique and Core) to process priority memos and expedite critical material flows.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure shipments comply with internal controls and regulatory requirements; partner with couriers to remove operational barriers.
- Perform demand-versus-resource analyses on a weekly and monthly cadence and report capacity constraints and mitigation plans to management.
- Generate and distribute operational reports to measure production progress, communicate status to internal and external stakeholders, and escalate issues as required.
- Lead training initiatives for new and existing staff on colored stones and pearls processes; maintain and update SOP documentation to reflect process improvements.
- Schedule and execute cycle counts (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual), investigate variances and report discrepancies to management promptly.
- Drive health, safety and corporate policy adherence, support Sarbanes-Oxley and audit-driven initiatives, and lead continuous-improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 4–5 years of progressive operations experience; prior exposure to jewelry/gemstone production, logistics or inventory control preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑velocity operational environment while meeting SLAs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to management and cross‑functional peers.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving aptitude with a record of identifying process improvements and escalating appropriately.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience
4–5 years of operations experience with direct responsibility for production transactions, inventory control, logistics or similar functions; experience leading small teams, coordinating with grading/lab functions, and working within audit‑controlled environments is strongly preferred.
