Tiffany & Co. seeks Human Resources Assistant Manager in Tokyo, Japan. Manage payroll, HR data, and employee benefits for luxury watches and jewellery brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage payroll outsource vendors for payroll and social insurance operations
- Administer time and attendance systems and create associated data for office workers and variable payment calculations
- Maintain local and global HR data management, including processing new hires, transfers, salary changes, and terminations
- Handle operational procedures for employee lifecycle events including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding
- Update HR-related intranet content and generate HR reports
- Create employment contract letters for contract workers and process related documentation
- Prepare and execute labour-management agreements and manage work regulations updates
- Administer paid leave management and group insurance programmes
- Issue various employment certificates upon employee request
- Support additional HR administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on payroll calculation experience
- Proven experience managing HR-related systems, preferably global platforms such as Workday
- Strong PC skills including advanced Excel functions for calculations and statistical data creation
- Japanese language proficiency at native level or JLPT Level 1
- English proficiency in reading, writing, and basic conversation
- Experience in organisations with 500+ employees preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in handling multiple employee statuses and labour control in payroll operations

Experience
Minimum 3 years of payroll calculation experience, with preference for candidates who have undertaken comprehensive payroll operations rather than solely data input to payroll vendors. Experience in large organisations (500+ employees) and exposure to various employee statuses and labour control procedures is advantageous.
Education
