Tiffany & Co. seeks a Hand Solder Operator at its Cumberland, RI manufacturing facility — entry-level role in fine jewelry soldering and assembly.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate hand-solder equipment to solder, assemble and sub‑assemble cast and machined components to Tiffany & Co. quality standards.
  • Machine clean, inspect and prepare parts to specification so they are ready for the next production process; perform repairs as required.
  • Adjust solder settings and control heat conduction in metal to ensure correct joins without damaging components.
  • Use propane and oxygen torches safely and follow established procedures for tooling, shields and chemical handling.
  • Maintain departmental efficiencies and deliver quality parts on schedule in a high‑volume environment.
  • Support and maintain 6S housekeeping programs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report incidents and safety issues promptly and consistently follow site safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to operate hand-solder equipment and perform precise soldering to jewellery tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid problem‑solving skills.
  • Capacity to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment and to work overtime and weekends as business needs arise.
  • Commitment to safety protocols, including proper use of safety glasses, Plexiglas shields and safe handling of sharp tools and chemicals.
  • Ability to communicate and understand English.

Experience
