Tiffany & Co. in New York seeks a Fine Jewelry Polisher to perform finishing and cleaning on jewelry and watches. $19–$34/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform finishing and cleaning for new and customer-owned jewelry, watches, flatware, hollowware and fancy goods to Tiffany & Co. quality standards.
  • Execute metal- and gemstone-sensitive finishing techniques including buffing, lapping, thrumming, satin finishing, sandblasting, hand polishing, ultrasonic and steam cleaning, and rhodium plating.
  • Inspect assigned orders for defects; follow written repair instructions precisely and escalate complex issues to management when required.
  • Meet or exceed established productivity targets while maintaining uncompromising quality and design fidelity.
  • Maintain organised workflow: track orders, adhere to due dates, secure parts, metals and scrap, and request consumables and tools through established procedures.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement by developing product expertise, adopting new techniques and collaborating with coworkers and management.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety requirements, maintain a safe workstation and promptly report incidents or hazards.
  • Provide service center support as needed, including alternate craft work, assistance with workflow management and participation in special projects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the Tiffany & Co. polishing bench test.
  • Verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical, cognitive and work-environment requirements of bench polishing and finishing work.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays and weekends.

Experience
