Tiffany & Co. seeks a Finance Director in Shanghai to lead accounting, tax and treasury for the China region.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure accounting and financial records comply with US GAAP and applicable local accounting standards; deliver accurate, complete month‑end reporting to US corporate on schedule.
  • Maintain local regulatory compliance across financial, foreign exchange, tax, customs and other matters that affect business operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement of financial reporting and operational processes (month‑end close, payment cycles, credit control) to improve efficiency and controls.
  • Oversee treasury and liquidity management: prepare short‑ and long‑term cash flow forecasts, liaise with LVMH treasury on cash pooling, optimize inter‑company funding and bank account structures.
  • Monitor working capital (AR/AP/Inventory) and partner with commercial and operations teams to improve cash conversion and reduce financing costs.
  • Manage corporate tax obligations for the China region — VAT, CIT, withholding tax and transfer pricing — and lead responses to tax audits, inquiries and disputes.
  • Advise senior management on tax and treasury implications of commercial decisions and implement tax automation solutions to streamline compliance.
  • Standardize tax and treasury processes across branches to mitigate audit risk and strengthen documentation.
  • Recruit, develop and retain finance talent; conduct succession planning, allocate resources and ensure adequate backup coverage.
  • Oversee training programmes to maintain system and technical competence; provide leadership, coaching and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience with 8–10 years in a management role within accounting/finance.
  • Proven track record across accounting, tax and treasury; prior experience in Big Four firms preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience with cash pooling, intercompany funding and bank account optimisation.
  • Ability to work non‑traditional hours when required (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with JDE.
  • Strong leadership, integrity and people‑development skills; ability to operate under pressure in complex environments.

Experience
