Tiffany & Co. seeks a Facilities Operating Engineer in New York (The Landmark). Responsible for HVAC, plumbing and preventative maintenance. Pay $30.43–$41.17/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain and troubleshoot all process and building equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, electrical and lighting systems.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks as defined by the facility Preventative Maintenance Program and document completed work.
- Test and inspect emergency and life-safety systems to ensure compliance with FM, NFPA, OSHA and applicable agency standards.
- Complete assigned project and fabrication work, procure required parts and supplies, and provide timely follow-up to requestors.
- Coordinate with external vendors for service support and parts procurement and support outside contractors working on site.
- Maintain adequate spare parts and materials inventory to support facility operations.
- Adhere to site safety procedures, report incidents promptly and propose safety improvements.
- Respond to building-related emergency calls after hours and support flexible shift coverage, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in building or process equipment maintenance.
- Possession of Certificates of Fitness: Q01, S13, S12, A35, S95, F01.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics.
- Proven experience with basic plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry and fabrication.
- Capability to use power tools and craft equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective problem-solving ability.
- Availability for full-time onsite work (40+ hours/week) and on-call emergency response.

Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facilities, building systems or industrial maintenance; demonstrable track record with preventative maintenance programs and readiness to respond to on-call emergencies and flexible shift patterns.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or trade certification in mechanical/electrical/industrial disciplines preferred.
