Role & Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and alterations on new and client-owned jewelry to Tiffany & Co. standards, using soldering, laser welding, fabrication, setting and finishing techniques.
- Execute specialty craft work (complex setting, enameling, hallmarking, assembly) consistent with product design and quality specifications.
- Inspect assigned orders for additional defects; document, repair or escalate issues and ensure all work meets established quality controls.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets based on assigned work mix and role.
- Maintain an organized bench and secure handling of parts, metals and scrap; manage workflow to meet due dates and notify administration of any delays.
- Collaborate with client advisors and clients when required to clarify repair requirements and present technical options.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing techniques, participating in problem solving and supporting special projects across the store.
- Comply with occupational health and safety protocols, maintain a safe workstation, and report incidents or equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional bench jeweler experience; 10+ years preferred for senior craft assignments.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays; ability to work overtime as needed.
- Soldering and laser welding proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
- Professional client-facing communication and appearance; customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work autonomously, exercise initiative and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to workshop safety and handling of hazardous materials and equipment.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of professional bench jeweler experience, with a preference for candidates who bring 10+ years of advanced repair, setting or fabrication experience in a luxury jewelry environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree from a jewelry technical/design program and Graduate Gemology coursework or degree preferred.
