- Maintain product data and project requirements, including part-number setup, bills of material and routes, costs, specifications, and work instructions, following SOPs and best practices.
- Create and maintain project folders containing product documentation, including Critical Requirements documents, CAD models and drawings, estimated product and tooling costs, purchase requisitions, work instructions, testing and time studies, quality evaluations and reports, reference documents, and prototype transfers; follow file-management protocols for naming and transfer.
- Support the accuracy, collection, and reporting of department metrics by documenting relevant activities promptly and systematically.
- Generate, maintain, track, close, and report project work orders, including material adjustments, location transfers, inventory reconciliation, and final disposition; track work-order movement and product costs.
- Track and maintain CER/expense billing and files.
- Maintain milestone documents for weekly meetings and promptly update product-status documents and reports; communicate scarcity, shortages, and excess-inventory issues.
- Facilitate new-product planning meetings, including agendas, recaps, and follow-up actions; maintain project-document repositories and ensure completion at project close.
- Process and communicate rapid costing scenarios for design concepts and production “should” costs for prototypes, identifying primary cost drivers.
- Follow organizational safety policies and safe work practices, improve the safety of current and developing processes, and demonstrate safety leadership by reinforcing safe behavior and giving immediate, specific, constructive feedback on unsafe behavior.
