Tiffany & Co. is hiring a CNC Machinist I in Cumberland, United States. Permanent full-time role managing precision machining operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe and vertical milling machines including 5, 4, and 3-axis systems with full control of machine controls, operating software, and tool compensation procedures
  • Perform product changeovers including fixture setup, stops, datum offsets, and indicator placement
  • Monitor cutting tool wear conditions and determine replacement frequency to maintain production efficiency
  • Maintain work areas, machine tooling, and parts free from excess oil deposits; manage coolant and lubrication systems using refractometer calibration
  • Receive work orders, verify component accuracy, and consistently meet or exceed production quotas
  • Determine and implement cutting tool offsets, utilize MDI, and assist with program editing; troubleshoot machine alarms and error messages
  • Identify root causes of equipment problems and implement alternative tooling approaches without supervision
  • Participate in new product development and implementation into production workflows
  • Train and mentor CNC Machine Operators on machinery operation and best practices
  • Propose and document continuous improvement opportunities for all machining processes
  • Operate secondary and special-purpose machines including drill presses, trademarking fixtures, and mechanical presses
  • Collaborate with management to identify manufacturing issues and assist with cross-training initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience on CNC lathe and milling equipment
  • Proficiency in setup, operation, and basic maintenance of CNC and manual machines
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and work instructions
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaborative work ethic
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Availability to work overtime as scheduled
