Thélios seeks Tool & Die Mechanic in Longarone, Italy. EUR 35,000 annually. Setup, validate, and maintain coining and shearing dies.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute setup, adjustment, and finishing operations on coining and shearing dies
- Perform die validation using mechanical and hydraulic presses
- Identify and resolve technical issues affecting die functionality
- Independently operate standard machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses for adaptive modifications and corrective interventions
- Collaborate with the Technical Office in defining and developing innovative tooling construction solutions
- Complete die validation reports and recommend technical improvements
- Maintain workplace safety standards and ensure proper stewardship of departmental equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a tool & die mechanic or precision mold technician
- Advanced expertise in die setup and calibration techniques
- Proficiency with traditional machine shop equipment and tools
- Demonstrated experience operating mechanical and hydraulic presses for die trials
- Competency in reading mechanical technical drawings
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative team orientation
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a tool & die mechanic, mold technician, or equivalent precision manufacturing role with direct responsibility for die setup, validation, and maintenance.
Education
Technical diploma or vocational certification in mechanical engineering, precision machining, or related trades; formal apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training in tooling operations is required.
Workplace
This position is based in Longarone, Veneto, Italy, within easy reach of Venice.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 35,000 per annum.
