Thélios (LVMH) seeks Technical CAD Designer in Longarone, Italy. Specialization in injection molding, Catia/Creo, 3+ years experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create advanced 3D and 2D CAD models and technical drawings for eyewear components based on creative specifications, ensuring seamless translation from aesthetic design to technical reality
- Design and optimize components for plastic injection and Metal Injection Molding (MIM) processes, managing complex mold closure, undercut, handling, and shrinkage dynamics
- Develop and review technical mold design documentation, ensuring adherence to industrial production requirements and quality standards
- Apply foundational CAM knowledge for milling toolpaths and supporting die and equipment fabrication, with direct impact on machining timelines and surface quality
- Ensure all designs comply with luxury industry standards, technical regulations, and eyewear-specific manufacturing protocols
- Actively participate in design reviews, providing critical technical input to resolve engineering challenges at early project stages
- Maintain rigorously organized project files, bills of materials, and technical documentation throughout the design lifecycle
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technician Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Industrial Design
- Proven and solid professional experience as a CAD Designer with a minimum of 3 years in the field
- Expert proficiency with parametric CAD software, specifically Catia or PTC Creo
- Strong command of technical drawing principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and precision specification
- In-depth knowledge of mold-building technologies and plastic (NYLON) and metal (MIM) material transformation dynamics
- Demonstrable attention to detail and problem-solving capability with a proactive approach to design challenges
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance from day one, combined with strong aptitude for multidisciplinary teamwork
- Capacity to interpret and translate complex technical drawings and schematics into viable industrial solutions

Experience
Minimum 3 years of proven professional experience as a CAD Designer, with demonstrated expertise in injection molding and precision component design within a technical or manufacturing environment.
Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technician Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Industrial Design or related discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Longarone, Veneto, Italy, with easy access to Venice.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
