Thélios — Longarone, Italy: Production Section Leader. Lead production flow, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement in luxury eyewear manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute weekly production plans in alignment with short- and medium-term industrial budgets and objectives.
- Plan and supervise production flow to meet FTE targets, production constraints and delivery deadlines while minimising waste and maximising throughput.
- Monitor and analyse production KPIs (volumes, efficiency, absenteeism, machine OEE, material overconsumption, scrap rates) and implement corrective actions for variances.
- Manage outsourced work (conti lavoro): assess technical feasibility, lead times and costs; liaise with suppliers and coordinate material flow until return.
- Provide technical support and oversee introduction of new models, working with Industrialisation, NPI and Technical Office teams and participating in certification meetings.
- Respond rapidly to production disruptions (parameter changes, scrap, extra withdrawals), coordinate cross-functional troubleshooting and propose continuous improvement plans.
- Review and approve quality deviation requests in the absence of Quality department and ensure accurate material ordering for the area.
- Lead, coach and develop the production team, plan and monitor training activities to maintain required competency levels against strategic goals.
- Design and drive continuous improvement projects to raise KPI performance and embed a culture of operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements for health & safety, environment and quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar production leadership role or within Manufacturing Engineering; experience in industrial, automotive or eyewear sectors preferred.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Management) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Solid command of Lean Manufacturing principles and practical Project Management methods.
- Foundational knowledge of Statistical Process Control and experience interpreting process statistics.
- Proven ability to analyse production data, lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated team coordination and motivational capability.

Experience
Minimum 3 years in production supervision or manufacturing engineering, preferably within industrial manufacturing, automotive or eyewear production environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent.
