Thélios — Longarone: NPI Technical Development & Procurement Specialist (on‑site). Manage procurement for new product introductions across R&D and production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through industrialisation and mass production.
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality and Production to define technical specifications for components and materials required by new products.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers that meet technical, quality and cost requirements for NPI projects.
- Perform detailed cost analysis and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments to identify optimisation opportunities and support target price definition.
- Negotiate NPI pricing and commercial terms to achieve target costs while ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance during product development, tracking quality, lead times and cost metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Acquire production and process knowledge to inform strategic purchasing decisions and propose improvements to NPI procurement workflows.
- Serve as the procurement interface to cross‑functional teams and provide regular status updates on purchasing activities and decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
- Entry‑level profile acceptable; internships, thesis work or initial experience in industrial, supply chain or procurement contexts are advantageous.
- Strong analytical aptitude with demonstrated ability in costing and financial analysis for components and materials.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships during development phases.
- Proactive attitude, adaptability to fast‑moving projects and aptitude for learning production technologies.
- Fluency in Italian and professional working proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
