NPI Purchasing Intern at Thélios (LVMH), Longarone, Italy. Join the New Product Introduction team for a structured internship in procurement and supply chain.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support and collaborate on procurement activities for new projects, from concept to mass production, identifying opportunities for streamlined processes and operational efficiency
- Assist R&D and Engineering teams in defining component and material specifications while prioritizing cost-effectiveness and process optimization
- Contribute to identifying, evaluating, and selecting new suppliers with alignment to technical, quality, and cost requirements
- Participate in cost analysis for new components and materials, actively proposing opportunities for cost reduction and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization
- Acquire and apply comprehensive knowledge of production and technological processes related to new products to inform strategic purchasing decisions
- Act as a key interface between the Procurement team and other departments (R&D, Engineering, Quality, Production) to foster collaborative approaches to process improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field
- Strong interest in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, particularly within New Product Introduction contexts
- Proactive and curious mindset with aptitude for identifying and proposing continuous improvement solutions
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in Italian and English
Skills
Experience
Beginner-level professional or recent graduate with strong interest in purchasing and supply chain management; no formal experience required, but demonstrated curiosity and proactive problem-solving orientation are essential.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
