Thélios — Material Planner in Longarone (Belluno), Italy. Full‑time role managing lens and prototyping materials using SAP and Excel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and manage materials for prototyping and production, ensuring availability for product development and manufacturing.
- Act as primary liaison with suppliers and internal departments (product, purchasing, warehouse) to coordinate deliveries and resolve material issues.
- Verify and monitor warehouse availability; maintain accurate stock records for lens and component inventories.
- Optimise lens warehouse layout, stock turns and replenishment strategies to reduce lead times and obsolescence.
- Coordinate and drive internal projects related to material flows, tooling and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in material planning, inventory control or similar role — preferably within the eyewear or optics industry.
- Proven experience using SAP in a materials/purchasing context.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to liaise across suppliers and cross‑functional teams.

Minimum 3 years in material planning, inventory control or production planning roles; prior experience in the eyewear or optics sector is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, business administration or a related discipline, or comparable vocational training with relevant professional experience.

The successful candidate will be located in Longarone, Veneto, Italy, with easy access to Venice.
