The RealReal is hiring a full-time Laboratory Technician for its authentication operations in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The role operates XRF and X-ray equipment, records readings, supports emerging technologies, and performs quality-control reviews and reporting; the expected rate is $17 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate XRF equipment to identify precious-metal components and enter the readings into a database.
- Operate X-ray equipment to image fashion products and enter the readings into a database.
- Work with emerging technologies as they are incorporated into daily processes.
- Create baseline data feedback.
- Scan items to their locations.
- Review authenticators’ XRF readings for quality control and compliance with SOPs and authentication standards.
- Document and report quality-control findings, maintaining accurate records and visibility into quality trends.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability, motivation, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Google Docs and Gmail.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
