The RealReal is hiring an Associate Luxury Resale Advisor to acquire luxury consignments, reactivate consignor relationships, and grow sales through a high-touch, field-based client experience. The role requires more than 70% travel within the designated market and a 40-hour workweek with occasional off-hours; expected annual base salary is $60,000–$70,000, with uncapped commission.
Role & Responsibilities
- Engage new, inactive, and prospective clients through daily outreach and in-home appointments to drive consignment activity.
- Develop and execute networking and outreach strategies to attract new consignors, reactivate lapsed relationships, and generate repeat business.
- Build a sales pipeline by sourcing leads, reactivating lapsed consignors, and converting marketing-qualified leads into active consignors; manage pipeline activity and opportunities using Salesforce and other tools.
- Meet or exceed monthly quotas through new business growth, consignor reactivation, and key performance metrics that contribute to revenue growth.
- Deliver a high-touch, white-glove experience throughout the consignment process, fostering client satisfaction, trust, long-term engagement, and relationships beyond transactional service.
- Present and review consignment contracts, establish pricing expectations using internal tools and luxury market expertise, and guide clients through the process.
- Partner with Retail teams to support sales growth and collaborate with Consignor Relations to address and resolve client concerns.
- Acquire luxury consignment items and coordinate item pickup and shipment to The RealReal’s e-commerce centers.
- Spend more than 70% of working time in the field, cultivating client relationships and securing consigned items through personalized in-home appointments.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline, outreach, reactivation, and follow-up activity; improve lead-to-consignment conversion and build momentum in consignor acquisition, reactivated accounts, and consignment value.
- Prospect, network, and use inbound leads to create opportunities; demonstrate resilience through rejection, overcome objections, and turn refusals into future opportunities.
- Balance efficient opportunity progression with a high-touch client experience, demonstrating ownership, coachability, disciplined execution, trust-based relationships, follow-through, dependable communication, and accountability.
Qualifications
- Technologically proficient and comfortable using CRM systems, including Salesforce, and digital tools to manage pipeline and drive performance.

- Strong relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Customer-focused, with a passion for luxury, fashion, and sustainability.
- Willing and able to travel more than 70% within the designated market.
- Able to work a 40-hour week, including occasional off-hours, and reside in the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license required, except in the Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Chicago markets; compliant insurance and driving record required.
