The RealReal seeks an Asset Protection Specialist for its Authentication Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The role supports facility security, shortage control, investigations, audits and safety protocols, with a full-flex schedule that may include evenings, weekends and overtime; the expected pay rate is $18.50–$19 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Asset Protection and employees, delivering friendly, professional customer service.
- Staff the main entrance for most of the workday and secure the building.
- Support building security, shortage control, auditing, conflict resolution, and inventory, along with other duties assigned by Asset Protection leadership.
- Assist with daily video reviews, high-value investigations, and special projects supporting the Asset Protection and Operations teams.
- Conduct multiple daily, weekly, and monthly Authentication Center audits to ensure shortage control, safety, and compliance with Asset Protection policies and procedures.
- Support off-site functions, including photo shoots, private showings, and events, which may take place during or outside regular business hours.
- Communicate and carry out security protocols, including bag checks, badge enforcement, metal detector and wanding procedures, parking lot control, and merchandise check-in and check-out procedures.
- Identify and respond to security- and safety-related issues.
- Build strong partnerships with all levels of Authentication Center leadership.

- Preferred: 2 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or security.
