Role & Responsibilities

- Lead WMS selection, vendor evaluation and statement-of-work definition, partnering with procurement and supply‑chain operations.
- Translate business requirements from operations, inventory, and e‑commerce teams into technical designs, data models and implementation plans.
- Prototype and validate solution components, ensuring scalability, performance and resilience for peak retail cycles.
- Provide technical leadership during implementation and cutover: oversee configuration, interface development, testing, go‑live and post‑live stabilisation.
- Author architecture artefacts, runbooks and technical documentation; deliver knowledge transfer and training for internal teams and integrators.
- Champion best practices for automation, exception handling, security, compliance and data integrity across fulfilment processes.
Qualifications
- Proven record of leading WMS architecture and large‑scale fulfilment implementations for retail or omnichannel organisations.
- Deep operational understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, receiving, picking, putaway, replenishment and returns.
- Experience defining integration architectures between WMS, OMS, ERP and TMS using APIs, EDI and middleware platforms.
- Demonstrable experience with one or more major WMS products or implementations (vendor experience preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management with experience working across product, operations, IT and third‑party integrators.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
