Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end trim development for Outlet Men’s and Women’s assortments from concept through bulk production, ensuring alignment with design intent and seasonal calendars.
  • Source and evaluate trim suppliers; present new trim inspirations and options to design teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage sample ordering, sample tracking, testing and costing processes; oversee maintenance of the material/trim library.
  • Create and maintain seasonal trim boards/binders and the seasonal SMS trim chart with accurate tracking of specifications, quantities and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms with trim vendors; monitor and evaluate supplier performance against quality, delivery and ethical standards.
  • Establish and enforce quality and compliance standards for trims; coordinate testing and assessment for durability and care requirements.
  • Manage trim-related budgets, priorities and cross-functional deadlines; prepare and present weekly trim meetings using PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant trim management, trim development, or related experience within the apparel industry.
  • Strong understanding of textile trims, trim applications, and material performance testing.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships and commercial terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under compressed timelines and to set priorities with strong initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven cross-functional collaboration experience with global partners.

Experience
