Tapestry Inc. seeks Trade Compliance Analyst in New York to support global trade, customs, and sustainability compliance for Coach and Coachtopia.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide tariff classification and duty advisement across all product categories including finished goods, raw materials, and packaging, maintaining accurate classification data in collaboration with Product Development teams
  • Advise on country-of-origin marking, customs valuation, Free Trade Agreement eligibility, import restrictions, and other global trade compliance matters to cross-functional business partners
  • Review sample, development, and commercial product shipments to ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal processes
  • Support Coach (Re)Loved take-back programs and international initiatives by providing guidance on tariff classification, import-export regulations, labeling, product testing, and compliance documentation
  • Partner with Marketing and Copy teams to manage sustainability claims substantiation for Coachtopia products, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards
  • Conduct internal audits, compliance reviews, and reporting initiatives including sustainability claims reviews, supplier compliance assessments, and savings analysis
  • Monitor emerging trade, customs, and sustainability regulations to identify compliance risks and business opportunities

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in customs, international trade, supply chain, sustainability, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Trade, Sustainability, Supply Chain, or related discipline (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of customs and trade regulations with ability to research, interpret, and apply complex government requirements
  • Experience with trade management systems and compliance tools such as ACE, Integration Point, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to translate complex trade and sustainability concepts for diverse audiences
