Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Sales Associate in New York, NY (Hudson Yards) to deliver styling‑led retail service and drive sales (part‑time).
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised styling and product recommendations that align with each customer’s aesthetic and lifestyle; assemble complete looks and suggest complementary items to increase basket size.
- Greet and engage guests warmly, ask insightful questions to uncover needs, and convert interactions into sales through consultative selling and storytelling.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale system and ensure a seamless checkout experience while maintaining accuracy in transactions and returns.
- Maintain visual and operational standards on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including merchandising, replenishment, and organisation of inventory.
- Adopt omni‑channel selling behaviours and support virtual selling initiatives and social media‑led customer engagement as needed.
- Work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods to meet business needs.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable retail selling skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment; luxury or fashion retail experience preferred.
- Comfort with omni/virtual selling techniques and social media‑driven customer engagement.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and to climb, bend and manoeuvre across sales floor and stockroom.

Experience
Previous retail sales experience required; experience in fashion or premium/lifestyle retail is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant coursework or certifications in fashion, retail or visual merchandising a plus.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
