Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coach an end-to-end purchase order management team, assigning clear brand or category ownership and balancing workload, backup coverage and execution standards while developing team members’ decision-making autonomy.
- Guide order prioritization and shipping-mode recommendations based on business needs, delivery risks, operational feasibility and available information.
- Own governance, outcomes and controls for end-to-end order execution, establishing clear standards, decision rights and escalation paths across the purchase order lifecycle.
- Lead root-cause analysis of recurring delivery and execution issues; coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including Supply Operations, Logistics and Brand/Buying teams, to resolve exceptions, implement sustainable corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Improve supplier operating discipline and performance through structured, data-led reviews that address recurring execution gaps, establish accountability and secure timely corrective actions.
- Use performance measures, dashboards and exception analytics to assess delivery and execution outcomes, identify systemic issues, prioritize interventions and deliver measurable performance improvements.
- Act as business owner for relevant system enhancements and process changes, including requirements definition, user acceptance testing, implementation support and adoption.
- Improve the end-to-end operating model by removing unnecessary handoffs, clarifying ownership and simplifying work across Supply Planning, suppliers and cross-functional partners, including through AI and automation opportunities that strengthen controls, improve visibility and support scalability.
- Support business continuity planning and ensure critical activities can continue during peak periods, absences or operational disruption.
- Undertake other responsibilities and projects assigned by management.
- Set clear priorities and translate business objectives into practical team deliverables and operating routines.
- Coach team members to bring recommendations, own decisions and lead cross-functional follow-up with appropriate autonomy.
- Create a culture of ownership and accountability through clear operating standards, documented procedures, effective cross-training and succession and backup plans.
- Provide timely feedback, recognize strong contributions and constructively address capability or execution gaps.
- Build an inclusive, collaborative team environment that supports learning, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Communicate complex issues clearly, including business impact, options, trade-offs and recommended actions.
