Kate Spade New York in Halton Hills (Toronto Premium Outlets) is hiring a part-time Stylist/Retail Sales Associate.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, build rapport and act as a trusted advisor to discover and refine each customer’s personal style.
- Provide personalised styling recommendations, assemble complete looks and suggest complementary items to increase basket size.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences across the sales floor and at the point of sale, ensuring a seamless checkout process.
- Maintain strong brand and product knowledge across all categories to inform storytelling and sales conversations.
- Support operational excellence: organise stockroom, process POS transactions, replenish floor stock and assist with inventory tasks.
- Adopt omnichannel selling practices and social selling techniques to engage customers across digital and in-store touchpoints.
- Work flexible hours to cover peak periods, weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Proven professional selling skills with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing environment; styling or visual merchandising experience is an asset.
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, busy seasons and holidays.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omnichannel/virtual selling methods.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and to bend, climb and manoeuvre on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
Skills
Experience
Prior retail or other customer-facing sales experience is required; direct styling, clienteling or visual merchandising experience is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary study in fashion, visual merchandising or retail is an asset.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada, with easy access to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 17.60 to CAD 22 per hour.
