Kate Spade New York Supervisor I — full-time store supervisor based in Milpitas, CA (Great Mall) driving sales, clienteling and store operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive personal sales and lead the team to meet or exceed store sales targets and KPIs through data analysis and implementation of best practices.
  • Build and sustain client relationships through proactive outreach, VIP retention initiatives, and exemplary after-sales service.
  • Model and embed kate spade service behaviours on the sales floor—greet, engage, and discover client needs to elevate conversion and loyalty.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop floor staff; support recruitment, onboarding, performance feedback, and career development conversations.
  • Perform and supervise opening/closing procedures including cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, and facility security (key-holding).
  • Ensure inventory integrity by accurately processing POS transactions and inventory functions (receiving, transfers, shipments, repairs, damages) and maintaining an organised stockroom.
  • Lead omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives including live-stream shopping and digital client engagement.
  • Promote brand-safe social media engagement and lead customer data capture to grow loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Foster an inclusive, equitable team culture aligned with company diversity and people-management competencies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail service experience in a management or floor leadership role; luxury or premium retail experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and provide clear, actionable feedback.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrable social media literacy and awareness of platform trends.
  • Comfort and experience with omni-channel/virtual selling tools, clienteling systems, and POS operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs).

Experience

At least 2+ years in a retail leadership or floor supervisory capacity; prior experience in luxury or premium retail is strongly preferred. A combination of relevant education and demonstrable retail experience will be considered.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or retail management certification preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17 to USD 27.75 per hour.
