Kate Spade New York is seeking a Store Design Procurement and Operations Associate to support global retail design operations, including budgets, purchasing, vendor coordination, communications, and project tracking. This is a hybrid role based in New York, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and occasional weekends for special projects; it is full-time.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support Store Design budget management and tracking.
  • Manage Store Design and Global Visual Experience (GVE) purchase order creation, invoicing, and tracking for external vendors on North American projects.
  • Initiate, manage, and track Capital Expenditure Requests in partnership with Construction.
  • Manage procurement of fixtures and finishes for new store openings (NSO), renovations, and other Store Design projects.
  • Manage Visual Merchandising props and Fixture & Replenishment Store Orders (FRSO) for new store openings and relocations in partnership with the global Visual Merchandising team.
  • Create presentation decks for meetings supporting Store Design initiatives.
  • Support the development of Store Design strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency, communication processes, and service to internal and external Store Design and Construction partners across regions.
  • Partner with global and regional teams on key Store Design initiatives and strategize the timing and cascade of information.
  • Manage and organize team SharePoint and Egnyte drives.
  • Assist with vendor sourcing, management, and bidding for Store Design initiatives.
  • Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of existing workflow processes and templates.
  • Develop clear, consistent, timely, and effective directives based on business needs.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Manage global communications for monthly delivery of store design guidelines, aligned with the development of new store design strategies.
  • Manage tools, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and details related to Store Design standards.
  • Assist with preparation for cross-functional and leadership reviews.
  • Assist with management of the global photo review process, capturing existing conditions across Outlet and Mainline channels.
  • Manage Store Design tracking documents for all NSO and renovation projects across global channels, supporting alignment on priorities and deadlines in key meetings.
  • Enter and track data, and update spreadsheet management systems.
  • Manage the Store Design team calendar and key meetings.
  • Manage the global Store Profile spreadsheet.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a Retail, Procurement, or Operations role at a similar brand headquarters.
  • Self-motivated, passionate, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Willingness to learn on the job and a growth mindset.
  • Advanced experience in Excel; additional experience in Smartsheet preferred.
  • Experience working on Microsoft Windows/PC, with the ability to adapt to Apple/Mac ecosystems if needed.
  • Operational mindset, with an interest in this work and in growing within operations.
